Delicious Chinese Food and the Most Popular Chinese Dishes

Chinese food is one of the key components of Chinese culture, with a rich history, distinctive traits, many styles, and beautiful cookery. Chinese traditional cuisine is renowned for its flavours, colours, aromas, appearances, and meanings.

Given the size of the nation, China has a diverse range of climates, histories, local foods, dining habits, and other factors that influence regional culinary variations.

Chinese food in Long Beach can be classified into eight categories based on the regional flavours and cooking styles used. These categories include Cantonese cuisine, Jiangsu food, Zhejiang cuisine, Fujian cuisine, Anhui cuisine, Sichuan cuisine, and Shandong cuisine.

Roasted Duck from Peking

Beijing's famed Peking duck is regarded as one of China's national foods and is well-known throughout the world. Peking duck's crispy, thin skin makes it delicious. It's common to have sliced Peking duck with pancakes, soy sauce, and mashed garlic. In Beijing, this meal is a must-try!

In mediaeval China, Beijing Roast Duck was considered "the first dish to taste in China" and was served to royalty. When Premier Zhou Enlai (the first Premier of the People's Republic of China) initially served it to foreign guests in the 1970s, it became known as a "national dish of diplomacy".

Kung Pao Chicken

The famous Sichuan-style delicacy Kung Pao Chicken is well-liked by both Chinese and Westerners. Diced chicken, cucumber, dried chile, and fried peanuts (or cashews) are the main ingredients.

Western-style kung pao chicken is a Sushi in Long Beach that is made with diced chicken, cornstarch, veggies, sweet-and-sour sauce, and mashed garlic. It is popular in Western countries.
